In Mexico

Hola everybody!!
Last night, we were in the studio to record our last album :( We are
recording the song "Dive" by Steven Curtis Chapman first and I'm so excited!
We have already started working on it and I hope we don't mess it up or
anything haha. I have loved this song since I was little!! I think I may
have mentioned that in my last journal, but I really have!

Anyway, we are in Mexico now, and we are SO pumped to be here!! Today, we
are presenting, what I like to call, THE BIG YELLOW BUS, to one of the
orphanages that we visited while we were there in October!! I can't wait to
see all of the kids and everyone who was on the trip last time! It is going
to be such a fun experience!!

Well, I need to go and finish some homework so I can enjoy the rest of my
time!!!

We can chat more l8tr!! Hahahaha!! I've always loved that!!

Peace and Blessings,
Carolyne

PS- Sorry if my one billion exclamation points get on your nerves!!

Back In The Studio

Hey everybody!!
What's up? Today is our first day of being back in the
studio and actually, the first song that we are recording is the one
that y'all chose... Dive by Steven Curtis Chapman! I love your
selection so much! Dive has always been one of my favorite songs!!

Well anyway, I just finished in the booth and now I'm headed to
another event for my school. It is the Spring showcase and I'm singing
with my choir in it! Fun times! Unfortunately, I have to go but I just
wanted to give you guys a little snippit of my day! Hope to see all of
you in Hixson!!

Monterrey, Mexico

The experience of traveling to Monterrey, Mexico in October was one of the most moving experiences I believe I will ever have in my life. Even from the beginning of the trip, we watched God work through the people who were helping the children and adults at the orphanages, and we also watched God work through those being helped. Each day was filled with so many stories and memories, but I think that everyone would agree that their favorite part of the day was when God worked through them to show them a little bit more about who He was... that was what made the difference. One of the greatest factors of the trip was how it humbled all of us so much. Going and visiting those sites really made us realize how truly, truly blessed we are by God. Of course, sometimes it was hard to work to our fullest abilities due to the heat, but if I had the choice, I would take the heat any day if I were given the chance to experience such an amazing trip again.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hola!!! Who is pumped about Thanksgiving?? I know I am!! Thanksgiving is probably my favorite holiday (besides Christmas of course)! One of the main reasons why I love it is because you can eat all of the food that you want and not get made fun of haha! Thanksgiving is very special in my house, because (1) we all love food, and (2) we all know that we have a lot to be thankful for. Also, it is special because it is one of the 2 times out of the whole year that all 33 people of my family get together! One of the things that I love about our gatherings is almost all of the women in my family are FANTASTIC cooks, so our Thanksgiving dinner consists of everyone's specialty dishes and a couple more! I could eat our Thanksgiving dinner for every meal! My two favorite dishes that we have are my grandmama's macaroni and cheese and my great aunt's sweet potato casserole! They are soooooo delicious that I probably go back for ten "second's" haha! Another part about Thanksgiving that I love is that my whole family is EXTREMELY loud so the whole house is booming with laughter and voices! But, once everyone is full with the meal, we all settle down and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk...... well, you get it!

Overall, Thanksgiving for me is a great time to be with the people that you love, stuff your face like there is no tomorrow, and thank God for everything that he has given you and provided you with! I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Love,
Carolyne

Beach Vacation!

Hey Everyone!
On Saturday, we were in Dallas for the Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey
Circus! It was soooo much fun! For any of you who have ever been to the
circus, you know what I mean.

On another note, I am at the beach with my family for a whole week! Every
year I look forward to going to the beach with my family and this year we
get to go for 2 or 3 more days than we usually get to!

Have a great rest of your week!
Peace,
Carolyne

Church

Hey everybody!!
Right now, I'm sitting at church with some friends! We just finished with our D-groups which stands for discipleship groups! They're such a great way to spend time with friends and also, to talk about the Bible and express feelings!! Anyway, on a random note, school is going well and although it gets harder everyday, it is good to know that I am growing more and more in my academics every time I go back! How is school for y'all right now? Please comment on this and tell me how it's going!

Well, I just got home and now I have to go finish my homework!

TTYL!!

We Won!

Hey guys!
What's up? Right now, I am sitting outside of my hotel waiting for a bus to take us to the airport! Caroline and I have been in Disney World for our dance team nationals and good news, WE WON! It didn't even matter if we had won though because we had so much fun!

Well, I have to go because the bus is here but I will send more updates later!

Love,
Carolyne

Flying to NM

Hey everybody!

Right now, we are on our way to Albuquerque, NM, and we are so excited! At the moment, we are sitting on the grounds of Chicago on a connecting flight, but luckily, we don't have to get out and change planes!

There are people passing by me right now in the aisle of the plane and smells like gasoline (just for a little detail). I just started Amy Grant's book, Mosaic, and it is great so far! Caroline and I slept on most of the flight here but hopefully I will get in some good reading time before we get to New Mexico!

To any of you who will be at the show tonight, we are so excited to be coming to NM for a second time and we can't wait to meet you all!

Well, I got to go because they are about to tell everyone to turn off the electronics!

Peace and blessings,
Carolyne

So far so good ...

Hey everyone!! Today, I have been relaxing and spending time with family (my favorite activities). Earlier today I had dance practice from 8 to 8:30 with Caro but after that, I have just been relaxing! Fun fun! Since I haven't updated in awhile, I will do a brief overview of the past week.

Well, my parents left last Sunday for a trek across America to California to move my sister into her apartment out there. My dad came home on Wednesday and my mom will be home tomorrow! I can't wait for my whole family to be back home!

On a school note, we went back last week on Tuesday but ended up watching a movie all day; we had school on Wednesday, and Thursday and Friday, we had snow days. So really, we started school this week haha....kind of like last week was a test run.

Well, my family is about to eat dinner so I got to go! Hope everyone had a great holiday! TTYL!
