Back from D.C.

Hey everybody!
I've got an exciting journal for today (well at least I think it is haha)! I just got back from Washington D.C. and we had a blast!! It was a school trip with only my grade and it was so much fun! Our teachers went with us and so did the principal and they were all so funny! My principal is one of the funniest women you will ever meet, and she is also a Christian so she is such an incredible woman! Also, my history teacher is her best friend and together, they act like teenage BFFs...very outgoing and hilarious!!

Well anyway, while we were there, we saw so many different monuments and museums! Going on this trip really made me realize what a wonderful country I live in and also, how much of an impact God has on everything even when it isn't always apparent to us. Overall, this trip was a great experience and I was so happy I had the chance to go!!!

Reflecting ...

As I think back and reflect on my time at the orphanages in Mexico with Back2Back Ministries and the James Fund, I think of Philippians 4:13 - "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me"- for courage and Psalms 37:4 - "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart" - for hope. Please pray for the orphans, especially those at Casa Douglas and Casa Imperio. Thank you to Family Christian Bookstores and Fervent/Word Records for helping to make this trip possible. It was truly a blessing.

Back from Mexico

Hey everyone!
We just got back from Mexico and it was, yet again, an amazing trip! God has
really given me a new perspective and outlook on life through both of our
trips there. We gave the kids the bus and joy flooded the orphanage. It was
awesome! They told us they wanted to go to school to show it off, Haha. Those
kids are amazing and encourage me to be a better person. I got really
attached to one kid, named Miguel, who had unbelievable soccer skills and a wonderful heart. I watched him school Kevin (a grown man) without any problem. Haha.

Mexico was a blessing to me and I am making it a must do thing to get over
there at least once a year, if not 2 or 3 times. God is truly alive and
working over there. The truth is, though, I can tell you all this, but you
still can't understand it until you go to Mexico and witness it first
hand.....So go!

STACEY'S CORNER

Hi Friends,

HAPPY NEW YEAR! That sounds funny to be saying that in March...where does the time go?????

We have been busy, BUSY, B-U-S-Y formulating the plans for the final (SENIOR) year of pureNRG! This is such a bitter sweet time for me (sad face).....while I am sad the group is ending, I respect their decision to be obedient to God’s calling on their lives. Who is going to argue with that, right!??!?!???

JCC has been busy, too! Of course, like YOU, they have been in school but they have also had a photo shoot, DVD taping, rehearsals, shows, recording for the BEST OF record and this morning they left for Mexico....whew! Please be praying for them this weekend as they go back to visit the orphanage in Monterrey. They have been so excited to get back to visit all the kids there and they have a BIG SURPRISE for them.....be checking their journals for the update!

Just to keep you (THE BEST FANS EVER!) in the loop I want to make sure you understand what is happening on July 20! pureNRG will release GRADUATION: The Best of pureNRG which will be a DVD/CD combo: the DVD will include all 4 of their music videos, brand new interviews with JCC, a retrospective look back at all they’ve been apart of in their years together, and a special moment dedicated to their mission work in Mexico. The CD will include 10 previously recorded tracks from PURENRG, HERE WE GO AGAIN and THE REAL THING; 2 brand new recordings; 2 karaoke tracks and 1 remix track. This release will ONLY be available at FAMILY CHRISTIAN STORES and at www.purenrgonline.com.

In Mexico

Hola everybody!!
Last night, we were in the studio to record our last album :( We are
recording the song "Dive" by Steven Curtis Chapman first and I'm so excited!
We have already started working on it and I hope we don't mess it up or
anything haha. I have loved this song since I was little!! I think I may
have mentioned that in my last journal, but I really have!

Anyway, we are in Mexico now, and we are SO pumped to be here!! Today, we
are presenting, what I like to call, THE BIG YELLOW BUS, to one of the
orphanages that we visited while we were there in October!! I can't wait to
see all of the kids and everyone who was on the trip last time! It is going
to be such a fun experience!!

Well, I need to go and finish some homework so I can enjoy the rest of my
time!!!

We can chat more l8tr!! Hahahaha!! I've always loved that!!

Montana was amazing!

Hey Guys!
We had an awesome time in Montana and boy did we hate to leave. The trip went way too fast! Thanks to all you fans who came out and had a good time with us. We appreciate you so much!

SHOUT OUT to the Converse Family who took such good care of us. Can't wait to come back out there and go hiking....need to put these new boots of mine to use! I took lots of pictures so I will post them on here to share with you guys so you can see how beautiful the mountains of Montana are. We rode to the top of White Fish mountain on the ski lift looking like dorks because we all had everyday clothes and shoes on while everyone else was in their ski clothes with skis and snowboards. We got lots of weird looks...(haha!).... but it was worth it because the view was amazing!!

Dive!

Recording DIVE last night... fun! Carolyne and I were singing (or should I say trying to sing) together in the microphone but every time we looked at each other we couldn't stop laughing!! Shout out to Celeste for some awesome Chicken Spaghetti (she is our producer's wife). Mexico tomorrow...- can't wait!

Shout out to Montana!

Shout out to Montana!! You all have a beautiful state and we loved being there. Thanks to everyone in Kalispell and Helena for all your hospitality and for letting us perform for you. Thanks too for the chocolates, cards, posters and even the manicure! Also a big thank you to the Converse family!! Clare, Chloe, Caitlyn, Catherine, and Stan, and the Countryman Family and hi to Sarah and Amy, the family that drove 10 hours and all the many people who were so kind to us. It was a great way to start the week!! It is snowing now in Nashville but I doubt we will reach the 72 inches we saw at the top of the mountain in MT!

STACEY'S CORNER-POLL CLARIFICATION

Hi Friends---

Where have you been hiding????? OK, I guess YOU haven’t been the one hiding.....maybe I have been the one in hiding! I haven’t been a very good MEANAGER, have I?!?! :( I promise a longer update THIS WEEK!

I want to clarify something for you on the current poll....pureNRG is NOT re-recording these three songs: Summertime, Are You Ready, Before The Sun Goes Down. One of these songs is going to be included (in their original form) on the Best Of record and we want YOU to help us pick which one. There will be TEN (old) songs included in the BEST OF record and we have narrowed it down to NINE songs and we need YOUR help in selecting the TENTH song....will you help us...pretty please!??!?!?

You have already been a B-I-G help so far by helping us select one of the NEW songs we are going to record, DIVE.....thank you so much for your input! Now we need your help in putting the old songs together.....are you up for the challenge? I know what I am going to pick.....!! :)
