America's favorite 'tween' group, pureNRG, brings their high energy performances to Daystar TV's JONI show. Hosted by Joni Lamb, pureNRG performs "Are You Ready" and "Call On Jesus" from their current sophomore project, Here We Go Again. They also sang "What If" from their debut self-titled album that helped to make the group the top-selling CBA act in 2007.

pureNRG's show will air Monday, August 25, and Tuesday, August 26 at 6:00 am, 3:30 pm, 7:30 pm & 1:00 am Central Time. Please consult your TV listings for the local Daystar outlet.

With the meteoric rise of Hannah Montana and The Jonas Brothers in the mainstream, along with Jump5’s recent retirement, relative newcomers PureNRG are being embraced with open arms. The faith-focused tween poppers already dropped two studio CDs, but this project marks the tween group’s inaugural full-length DVD, split between concert clips and behind-the-scenes footage. The collection starts on stage with the instantly infectious sugar rush of “360,” which excels with vibrant vocals and the visual appeal of acrobatic dance steps. The vibe tapers ever so slightly for the trio to catch its breath during the breezy “Summertime,” but then it’s right back to the pogo stick bounce of “Pray.”

All the while, songs are interspersed with interview snippets that reveal personal details about members Caroline, Carolyne and Jordan, ranging from hobbies outside of the group to make-up routines before a show (during which Jordan comically quips, “I don’t have to do make-up”). There’s also a time of testimony sharing during the show itself, which is complimented by the heaven bound ballad “Someday.” Parents will also find satisfaction in the finale “Footloose,” originally cut by Kenny Loggins in the 1980s, but revamped in this format with beaming pop melodies. If only the disc had some extras or extended beyond a mere hour, it would’ve been an all around home run. At least the last scenes of the group signing autographs and fans offering feedback aptly summarizes the pureNRG experience. —Andy Argyrakis

America’s favorite tween band, pureNRG, will celebrate July 4, 2008 in a big way with their concert debut on JC-TV, TBN’s youth network. The group performed a live concert with hundreds of fans in attendance at the JC-TV studios in Nashville, TN. Jordan, Carolyne, and Caroline perform and dance to some of their fans’ favorite songs from their debut self-titled project, which includes “360,” “Live My Life For You,” “What If,” and “Footloose.” The show also features backstage footage and interviews with each group member.

The first airing is on July 4th at 5:00 pm with the second airing at 10:30 pm. There is also a third showing on Saturday, July 5, at 10:00 pm. All times are central.

The full concert will be available for purchase on July 22nd and you can pick up a copy at your favorite Christian retail outlet. You can also buy pureNRG’s latest CD, Here We Go Again, which is available too at the retail stores.

Fervent Records’ popular tween group, pureNRG, is scheduled to release their first Christmas project, A pureNRG Christmas, September 23, 2008.

The CD showcases a wide variety of Christmas classics done “pureNRG style” and features such favorites as “All I Want For Christmas,” “Jingle Bell Rock,” and “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree.” The group once again teams up with producers Rob Hawkins and Mark Hammond, who produced their self-titled debut and the latest top-selling and critically acclaimed album, “Here We Go Again.”

“It was so much fun to sing Christmas songs earlier this summer when we were in the studio,” says pureNRG. “Christmas is our favorite holiday so we can sing these songs anytime of the year and we hope they bring a strong message of hope to everyone’s Christmas season.”

In support of A pureNRG Christmas, the group will join Casting Crowns’ Christmas tour that kicks-off in Houston, TX on November 28 and ends December 13 in Reading, PA. Also joining the tour are Natalie Grant, Avalon, Michael English, and Denver and the Mile High Orchestra.

pureNRG recently treated fans in Nashville, TN to a full live concert that was taped for JCTV and will air on July 4th, at 5:00 pm. There will be two additional airings on July 4th at 10:30 pm CST and again on July 5 at 10:00 pm CST. The concert has also been made into a DVD, “Live & More,” that features exclusive backstage interviews and will be available at all Christian retail outlets on July 22nd.

Also on July 22nd, pureNRG will be releasing an interactive devotional, “The Message Behind Our Music.” It offers fans an inside look at all twenty-four of pureNRG’s songs. Each devotional is based on a scripture and has a “call to action” where they are able to do an activity, journal, and interact with each entry. It’s a wonderful way to bring the Bible to life through the lyrics of music.
